This program is designed for any young person, age 15–21, who is interested in a shadow career program in which you can learn hands-on experience through observation and participation with professional and successful paramedics and EMTs that strive for excellence in patient care, community service, and compassion. We believe our program will better prepare them through high school, college, and life in general as they will be learning a variety of “life lessons” as they ride along with our staff in the ambulances on actual emergencies. This is a great opportunity and a great start for anyone interested in continuing their education in the medical field.
This course will allow the student to be eligible to take the specialty certification exam for Critical Care Paramedic (CCP-C) and Certified Flight Paramedic (FP-C). The CCP course is designed to prepare paramedics to provide advanced critical care during ground and air transport of critically ill or injured patients. Knowledge gained during this course will provide instruction and understanding of care beyond the standard paramedic.
